The Kumou family's shrine is located by lake Biwa in Ootsu, the land of Oumi, Shiga prefecture. Every 300 years the sky is covered in clouds, and no sky can be seen. This means the revival of the Orochi is getting close, and t's the duty of the Kumou to exterminate it. They shield the shikigami Botan, the only shikigami who can't be sealed by the Orochi. In the shrine there also lives a tanuki. It's several hundred years old and has gone by many names, like Poko and Gerokichi. Since it's a tanuki, it can shapeshift.
They hire ninja for protecting, such as the Iga and Fuuma. When they're under threat, the shrine is rigged with guns that shoot when you reach a cewrtain point. On the grounds you can also find pit-falls and other traps to keep them safe, since the Kumou twins are hated by all.
